Song Of The Week #158 Ratt – Way Cool Jr.

It can be a long history, but surprisingly Ratt was founded in San Diego, 35 years ago (1976) by current vocalist Stephen Pearcy. The first name of the band was ‘Mickey Ratt’. In the first 5 years they didn’t make a lot of noise, what is more band line-ups wasn’t also constant then (according to wikipedia), with ‘Mickey Ratt’ played Jake E. Lee (probably the best-known for being Ozzy Osbourne’s guitarist).

In 1980, band name was finally shorten to ‘Ratt’, and in the next year band moved from San Diego to L.A. All first members left band to form another glam metal band called ‘Rough Cutt’. But in this time, to Ratt joined Robbin Crosby, Warren De Martini and Juan Croucier, along with founder – Stephen Pearcy they all was tied up with Ratt for long (Robbin Crosby died in 2002).
