Best From… Reverse Grip – Hunger For Chaos
The last day with last article in 2012. In the first words I would like to say thanks to Reverse Grip for first new-wave concert in Poland, 🙂
About Reverse Grip
Reverse Grip is a Canadian pure rock n’ roll band from Toronto who released their debut album named “Hunger For Chaos” this year and promoted it in Japan and throughout Europe. The band is formed by 3 brothers: Dylan, Sean and Dru and the newest member – Kramer White.
Some time ago, I made an interview with band members, you can read it here.
Below you can see their video from EP that was put out last year.

Concert in Bielsko-Biała
I had an occasion to enjoy one of their concerts that took place in Bielsko-Biała (Poland) on 10th December. To be honest, it was one of my best concerts so far and Reverse Grip was the first new wave band that played in Poland.
I only regret that the concert was not promoted enough in the city, but you can trust me, Polish guys rock!
The first thing that I like is that I can not find any concrete “borrowings” from any 80s band, but their music follows everything what was best then in a nutshell, I especially mean bold lyrics and melody filled with guitar solos.
My personal top #1 from “Hunger For Chaos” is “Looking For Score” and imho it is the loudest and sleaziest song here what is even more apparent if we compare it to “Mirror Mirror” which is very smooth and balanced.
For certain that Reverse Grip is on the way, they are one of the few bands that really kick my ass! I am really bored with all bands that imitate mainstream bands both in visual appearance and music style just like photocopiers.
It is only a matter of time when they will be widely recognizable in Europe and in this last sentence I can recommend this album not only to the real rockers but also to the people who do not listen to rock ‘n roll music everyday.
