In 2012 and 2011 a few of old glam bands recorded and released new albums and most of them sounds much different now. Nobody hasn’t gathered them into one place yet.
Prologue
Below I featured the most interesting tracks and videos. I guess that there are people who don’t want to see how their idols changed during so many years, but I think that most of them look much better now than ever before.
#1 Hardline
When it comes to me and not only me, the most interesting song that represents their newest album (“Danger Zone” – 2012) is “Fever Dreams”. What’s the best? The voice of Johnny Gioeli is awesome – just check it out!
Unhappily, Hardline doesn’t received so much attention, but I hope this will be changed soon
.
#2 Beggars and Thieves
They are shortly after Hardline. They missed an occasion for popularity in 80s ’cause they started when glam metal scene was collapsing. I especially like how melodic “We Come Undone” song is. What’s also interesting here – the new guitarist is Jake E Lee!
Beggars and Thieves – We Come Undone
Another song from their new album – “We Are The Brokenhearted” (2011) is “Innocence“.
Beggard and Thieves – Innocence
#3 Great White
Great White changed both iconic lead vocalist and musical style. Anyway, they recorded new energetic album (“Elation” – 2012) and video for one of songs.
Great White – (I’ve Got) Something For You
#4 Sebastian Bach
One of the most recognizable glam metal genre vocalists – the former member of Skid Row band. His music style hasn’t changed so much and it’s still aggressive and I love it
The new album is named: “Kicking And Screaming” (2011).
Sebastian Bach – Tunnelvision
Sebastian Bach – I’m Alive
#5 Trixter
The next revival glam band that recorded new album is Trixter with “New Audio Machine” (2012) that is promoted by “Tattoos & Misery” with nice video,
Trixter – Tattoos & Misery
#6 Warrant
Maybe you think that, there is no “Warrant” without Jani Lane, but I think that they created new quality and I love their “Home” ballad. The new album is named”Rockaholic” (2011). The new videos were recorded for “Lifes A Song” and “Home“.
Warrant – Home
Warrant – Lifes A Song
#7 Whitesnake
Almost everybody who likes Rock music has ever heard about Whitesnake. They are inspiration for tons of another bands and below you can see proof that they still rock and kick asses! Of course, hair metal was only the period in their history, but I think that they should be featured here.
The promo song from “Forevermore” (2011) album.
Whitesnake – Love Will Set You Free
#8 House Of Lords
It seems that they still keep the style and image that created in 80s but with “refreshed face”. Here you go, new album “Big Money” (2011).
House Of Lords – Someday When
#9 Night Ranger
Similar to Whitesnake, they also put a lot into rock music genre not only when it comes to glam metal. I should highlight their last album – “Somewhere In The California” (2011) .
Night Ranger – Growin’ Up In California
Bonus
Less known bands – Tyketto with “Dig In Deep” album (2012) …
Tyketto – Faithless
… and Black n’ Blue with “Hell Yeah” (2011)
Tyketto – Faithless
