Dokken is my favorite glam metal band and I have mentioned about this band many times on this blog but I think that it’s not enough, so I prepared a short list of my most favorite songs by them.

Dokken

Dokken

Prologue

Dokken is the next band in this series after White Lion. It’s the first band that brought my attention to glam metal scene. They are recognizable but Dokken is almost forgotten now and of course they are not the only band.

Is anything more sophisticated than Don Dokken voice? Personally, I am sure that not.

#1 Dokken – Breaking The Chains

The first song who guaranteed Dokken the popularity. It’s certain that it forwarded the band to the paths of success in the first part of 80s decade. The video for this single is quite spectacular, :P

#2 Dokken – Dream Warriors

The most interesting thing about this song is that it was used as a soundtrack for ‘A Nightmare On Elm Street: Dream Warriors” horror movie – I love this song because of guitar solo by George Lynch [from 2:51].

#3 Dokken – Into The Fire

IMHO, the heaviest song by Dokken and I’m not able to compare this song to anything they ever recorded. Of course, in positive meaning. If you watch the video, you can see how it was influenced by punk metal.

#4 Dokken – The Hunter

Firmly, it’s my favorite song by Dokken – at the first sight it may seem like quite depressive but it makes me much happier when I hear this tune.

#5 Dokken – Alone Again

And it’s time to finish with 2 sad ballads and this is one of the most popular ballads from 80s decade.

#6 Dokken – Walk Away

The final song today and I must say that it’s the last video recorded by Dokken with original line-up.
