Love the White Lion Top 5 you chose! WL is one of my favorite bands. WL never did, I feel, receive the recognition they deserved. Yes, they were well known in the late 80s/early 90s, had songs chart in the U.S. Top 40, sold millioins of albums, but even still, I felt that a couple of their songs that didn’t chart so high should have charted higher and I also felt that their albums should’ve sold a few more million copies. Their cover of Golden Earring’s “Radar Love” is rockin’, but it had a luke warm reception. Yeah, it received airplay on the radio and MTV, but I thought it should have dominated rock radio, even classic rock radio formats. WL’s “Don’t Give Up” from Pride was not released as a single or video, but I always thought it was one of the better “pop metal” songs from the era….check it out. Thanks for giving WL some love!!! Peace. -BC (“The Jungle” radio program, Chicago, IL)

The guitar work is stellar and amazing.. Use of harmonics, arpeggios and whammy bar are insanely smooth and very unique.. Was reading the guitarist had barely played in years which is a shame because he is insanely talented.. Guess he lost the drive after metal died and the music industry got destroyed 🙂
