Jon Bon Jovi – Happy 50th Birthday
Today, one of the most popular glam metal (and as a whole hard rock music) singer – Jon Bon Jovi celebrates his 50th birthday anniversary. Long live JBJ!
I thought that’s the best occasion to remind and feature his solo album released in 1990 and titled ‘Blaze Of Glory‘. But before I’ll make it – I’d like to start from short biography note.
John Francis Bongiovi was born on March 2, 1956 in Perth Amboy (New Jersey). As a young boy and then teenager he spend more time on doing what he loved, I mean playing music (and another activities related with it). Of course, he wasn’t best student at all, but as everybody knows it payed off. Before he become famous, he played in many bands and moved from New Jersey to New York. The turning point was when Jon Bon Jovi recorded ‘Runaway‘ song that was written by him during bus travel.
Then, his career started to grew very fast – thanks to his band Bon Jovi (but I think that it’s a thread for another post), as a Bon Jovi he recorded 11 studio albums and 2 solo studio albums, one of them is exactly ‘Blaze Of Glory’.
I’d like to feature a few songs from this album, especially ‘Miracle‘ which is one of my most favorite songs ever and eponymous song ‘Blaze Of Glory‘ (it was prized by American Music Awards, awarded Golden Globe and nominated for MTV Video Music Awards and Grammy awards). What’s more the album peaked #3 on Billboard 200 1.
