I decided to change slightly a way that the bands are described and as a first I’d like to remind Nitro, a shortlifted band.
Nitro most-known line-up
- Jim Gillette — lead vocals
- Michael Angelo Batio — lead guitar
- Ralph Carter — bass
- Bobby Rock — drums
To be short, Nitro was founded in 1987/1988 when Gillette (lead vocalist) recorded his solo album and recruited M.A. Batio (famous for his Double V-Neck guitar and then surprising Quad Guitar X-400 – with 4 necks,
), basist T.J. Racer and B. Rock (Vinnie Vincent Invasion).

Debut album
Band released soon their debut studio album O.F.R. (1989), the acronym comes from “Out-Fucking-Rageous“, it’s hard to say that it was successful release, I’d rather say that this album was average, but the most interesting thing is a great shredding performed by Batio – it’s awesome (to impatient, solo begins in 2:17 – Freight Train song)!

Nitro – Long Way From Home
Second and last studio album
Maybe it’s funny, strange for some – but their career was very short, Nitro released another album two years after the first one, but as everybody knows it weren’t the lucky times for glam metal and it significantly impacted on their popularity. The album was named “Nitro II: H.W.D.W.S.” and to be particular it was released in 1991 and Nitro finally disbanded in 1993.
Nitro – Crazy love
