5 Most Rebellious 80s Glam Metal Anthems And Songs (Part #1)
Hey, I’d like to kindly present a subjective list of most rebellious songs, hope you’ll like it. In first part I’m gonna highlight well-known songs and in second tracks which didn’t get so much attention.
There is no doubt that aggressive and powerful songs were especially liked by youngsters, I’m certain that you’ll know why 😀 Well, thanks to ‘Metal Health‘ song both glam metal and another sub-genres of heavy metal successfully eventually get to mainstream.
Of course, there are lots of another great rebellious glam metal anthems and songs – in next weeks I’ll publish next parts which include songs of bands such as Mötley Crüe, W.A.S.P, Twisted Sisters, Ratt, Helix, Kiss and others.
#1 Quiet Riot – Metal Health (1983)
This song must be on first place, as releasing it was a turning point in glam metal decade. It’s also the very first song I heard before I started to love glam metal. What is more ‘Metal Health’ is most popular song released by Quiet Riot.
#2 Keel – The Right To Rock (1985)
‘The Right To Rock‘ song and video was in fact predictive, as glam metal admittedly wasn’t forbidden but collapsed completely in 90s. It’s one of my most favorite songs and videos.
#3 Lizzy Borden – Me Against The World (1987)
Hmm, this track was and maybe still is controversial, especially to video. Similarly to previous songs this one is also powerful and rebellious, don’t believe? Check it out! This song is also featured in ‘Black Roses‘ horror movie, you should also watch it.
#4 Dokken – Into The Fire (1984)
In some rankings this song, is marked as most popular Dokken track, but I’m certain that this is most aggressive song released by Dokken in 80s.
#5 Great White – Stick It (1984)
I like this song due to its video and overtone, another great thing is guitar solo, nevertheless I sincerely recommend this song, as it’s one of the first significant glam metal anthems.
There is only one video on Youtube, but here you can watch it in better quality.
